English was the worst subject ever in my life. I just started to study it for an exam in highschool.
Nevetheless, now I'm learing English for fun. Learing English itself is one of the most interesting things to me.
As I studied it, I found thousands of advantages of speaking English fluently.
I can communicate with people from diverse cultures if I speak English and it's much more fun than I had expected. Moreover, I can have more job opportunities if I'm good at English.
Hm... frankly, I don't know why I'm learning it now although I know many good reasons.
I'm just doing it for fun.
Or perhaps all of those reasons make me want to learn it.
The Only problem is that I have too long way to go..!

ReplyDelete영어는 수학처럼 공식을 외우면 답이 나오는 학문이 아니라, '의사소통'이라는 필요에 의해 생긴 언어이기 때문에 공식을 만들어서 이해하는데에는 한계가 있다고 생각합니다. 개인적인 의견으로는, 영어는 쓰면서 익히는게 제일 정확하고 빠른 것 같아요.
예를 들어, 전치사 용법 같은 경우는 제가 그 동안 듣고 보고 말하고 쓰던 경험이 있기 때문에 감으로 때려맞추는 경우가 대부분이거든요. 물론 이게 100% 맞지는 않지만, 의사소통하는데 있어서 큰 문제가 되지는 않았습니다.
사실 저도 아직 배우는 단계라 글 남겨주신 분께서 하신 질문에 답하기 굉장히 어렵군요. 도움이 못되어 죄송합니다!

전치사란놈은 말씀하신것 같이 쓰면서 내것이 되어야 한다는 것은 이해됩니다만 항상 중고등학교때 배웠던 전치사의 한글뜻이 말할려고 하는 한글의 토씨와 상치되어 버리니까 그것이 문제입니다.

네, 무슨 말인지 저도 이해합니다. 저도 2년 전까지만 해도 그랬거든요.
ReplyDelete2년 전에 처음으로 알파벳 하나 하나 어떻게 발음하는지 배우고, 중고등학교 때 배우던 '학문'적인 영어가 아닌 '말하는 영어'를 배우기 시작했습니다. 그 이후에 눈에 띄게 영어가 늘기 시작했고, 사실 아직도 너무 많이 부족하지만 그래도 2년 전에 비하면 눈부시게 발전한 것 같아요. 그 때는 영어로 한 문장 쓰는 것 하나도 버거웠고 외국인과 대화는 꿈도 못 꿨거든요. 아직 가야할 길이 멀지만 그래도 할 수 있는 한 열심히 해보려구요.
